Nakon 66 krugova na stazi "Formula 1 Aramco Gran Premio de España" u Barceloni, i zanimljivog taktičkog nadmudrivanja, do pobjede je došao Lewis Hamilton u Mercedesu. Pored njega na postolju su bili Max Verstappen u Red Bullu te Valtteri Bottas u Mercedesu. Verstappen je nakon odličnog starta dugo držao prvo mjesto u utrci, no Mercedes je uspio taktički omogućiti Hamiltonu napad na Verstappena za pobjedu. Odličan je bio na četvrtom mjestu Charles Leclerc u Ferrariju. Peti je završio Red Bullov Sergio Perez ispred šestog Daniela Ricciarda. Sedmi, osmi i deveti su bili redom Carlos Sainz, Lando Norris i Esteban Ocon. Nakon velike borbe za deseto mjesto posljednji bod je osvojio Pierre Gasly.
Sljedeća utrka je u Monaku za 14 dana.
